Also had one of the first batch from rally design and can say that it might as well of been for Morris marina, it was too low around the scuttle by the door and too high by the further round, door gap was appalling, swage line isn’t the same as that in the door and it came with a large dent in the middle of it.

All I can say is buy genuine and save yourself alot of hassel

The thing is genuine panels you just can't get, and Ford's spares were not made by Ford anyhow they were shipped in.

Heard same stories about fitment with gen Ford items also..

I know they are not going to be simply place on and weld, i am sure i will need to do alot of tweeking, but this is going to be a project come end of summer with no rush so i will have time to fit them right.

i think even removing the front panel would be good also so as to get a better fit round the front.

Cleveland said they have sold these panels for 2 years with no complaints and i'm suprised as quite a few people don't like them, they also said that each batch is tweeked, this i am unsure about as i worked in press shop a car manufacturing plant, and any kind of tooling alterations were a massive job to do.

I think no matter what you fit you will have a little trouble.I had trouble with the front panel at the bottom been 20mm too far forward and there rear of the wings at the scuttle panel not been the same shape and that was the best of the to origanal wings. Also were the front panel at the headlight seemed to long, the list goes on.But i would,nt have it any other way. This is why we love them though isnt it,5 year build and still going

I had same problem with mine. Passengers fitted ok and with a bit of tweaking would have been ok. Drivers was a different story. That's why I went with fibreglass in the end. The overal fit is much better as is easier to add or remove what's needed. And no rust. Was going to bolt the wings on anyway. Shame really as apart from the issues with drivers one they were a good quality wing. But NoS drivers wings always have a bad fit. Even ford ones.
