Hi guys just converted my capri from 28i to rover v8 3.5 so sent log book with the new engine cc and number and they want evidence of perchase of engine ! ebay,aa or rac inspection !

or confirmation from engine manufacturer !!!!

 

thought this would be the easy part lol

is their anything else i can do ?

i tried this, they wanted a receipt for the, engine or a garage receipt for fitting, i haven't got either

 

so atleast my tax is cheaper anyway,

when i changed my cortina 1.6 to 2.0 i sent a headed letter (ie from a garage) the letter just said engine provided and fitted for mr waudby, my reg number, and a price, that worked for me, they just sent the log book with the new cc on.

 

by the way i fitted/did the engine conversion myself, a friend from the garage did the letter for me.
