wigglychief Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 I was talking to one of the chaps down the foundry and he says he has a fully rebuilt lotus 912 engine sitting under his dining room table Showed me pics of it and everything! Sitting there like some wicked ornament, complete with gearbox and everything! Just wondering if anybody could shed some light on these engines for me as i have no idea! I know its not standard, he says in the spec that he has built it is should be pushing 250bhp. He was gonna put it in a sunbeam years ago but the car rotted by the time he finished the engine and its sat there ever since! Im trying to convince him to sell it.. what kind of money are these fetching?
dalmarshall Posted May 31, 2012 Report Posted May 31, 2012 A 912 is the high compression version from a late excel se. 250 would be very high spec Have a look on Lotusbits.com as he has price lists on there for modded engines. They would be built to order though. I personally would,t give good money for a engine off the floor
