Mk2 Escort Rally car registration number TFR178P was stolen at around 4am on 17th June 2012 from South Cerney, Gloucestershire. The car is seam welded, gusseted & turreted, fitted with forest arches & fitted with a bolt in cage with door bars. The car is powered by a 2 litre Vauxhall XE red top running twin 40 Dellortos. It's fitted with a close ratio rocket box fitted with an XE to rocket bellhousing. The rear axle is an English axle with limited slip diff, anti tramp bars & Boreham style verticle damper mounts. The car is running a world cup crossmember, compression struts and quick rack with green track rod ends. It has a bias pedal box & is also fitted with a hydraulic handbrake.

The car has a distinctive bulkhead as it's been cut out in order to run the standard dizzy set up on the XE, highly unusual.

The car has been in storage for a number of years so is a little tatty around the edges.

The car had been listed on eBay before it was stolen so the thieves may have seen it on there.

The car was spotted travelling towards Swindon.

The owner has got back to me. The car was purchased through Jason Lepley so appears to be the old advert back up.

The owner has suspicion that it might be in the Swindon area so those in that area please keep an eye out for the car or parts
