Yes Mark Fields lovely MK2 escort with its power steering (lol) and ST170 engine on 45 webers made exactly .........170 bhp@6490rpm today ... we totally refurbed his cylinder head and put 4 new valves in the troublesome no3 cylinder , we fitted a piper cams vernier to the exhaust cam along with a new cambelt kit , serviced the rest of the engine and relocated the coil pack along with fitting new plug leads , it now drives lovely as the Emerald ecu has been remapped , we set the rev limiter to 6500 as we dont know the mileage or history of the bottom half of the engine , he,s been out for a test drive and is very happy and it sounds lovely , very satisfying for Joe and myself.
