RossMk2 engine rebuild UPDATE 9/11/12

Here we have rossmk2 engine which has arrived for a rebuild.

We will be turning it into a little screaming 1700

 

So it arrives

 

 

So first up get it on the stand

 

On stripping of the sump, the crankshaft is badly worn and some very nasty marks

 

As it is only a 691 block, the compenents inside are weaker then the latter 711m block, so we have managed to get hold of a 711m block and crank to turn it into a 1700

So, we collected the new donor 711m block

 

Start stripping it ready for the tank to be cleaned

 

So block is now in the tank, we make a start on the conrods

here is 1 finished,
