gordy Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Anyone know the car? Let the fun begin!! Won on Ebay for £250 without seeing it so i'm expecting the worse! Have done bits of welding, sill and arch replacements before but never a full resto. Can't wait.
Tall paul Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Looks tidy, what a bargain too, sometimes wish I had more spare time & space to do a pop. Good luck fella, get a thread started in the projects room
fieldy1972 Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Cool car mate . Good luck with the build £250 ???? fooking bargain,
gordy Posted October 11, 2012 Author Report Posted October 11, 2012 Cheers guys, will get a resto thread up as soon as it gets here. The second photo down, what's that bar welded on the back? I'm not familiar with these cars, to me it looks like has been welded on for use on a roll over jig? Or is that the bumper mount?! I hope it's saveable when gets here. Was last on the road in 2010 so can't be "that" bad....!
mr zefect Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Looks good mate, the bar is bolted to the bumper mounts not welded.
lotusless Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 nice one gordy v8? Nice one Gordy..... v12
gordy Posted October 11, 2012 Author Report Posted October 11, 2012 Plan is to get it here and see where to go with it! Will survey it and make a plan! If the bulkhead needs work, it would be rude not to open it up eh!
DAZZA Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Doesn't look half bad. Either way that's a steal for the price.
Admin Mk2Jo Posted October 12, 2012 Admin Report Posted October 12, 2012 Looks like a good buy there mister Make sure you start a resto thread so we can follow your progress and good luck with the project
XjamesX Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 Looks cool and great for that price, gotta love a 100e
nitrousnutter Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 well done matey, looks and interesting project, lovely looking car, I always fancied a sit up and beg pop to hotrod, but never got round to it.......yet lol. get a resto thread going plus you'll find loads of useful tips on here!!
klassicdave Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 Like others have said, what a bargain and a kool car to work with. My mate Al built a V6 powered Prefect 100e a while back and it was/is a great car, although he has sold it on now and is building a 35 Standard 10 saloon. Best of luck with the rebuild matey.
marky4 Posted October 16, 2012 Report Posted October 16, 2012 nice one gordy can't wait to see this progress and what a bargain
stu Posted October 21, 2012 Report Posted October 21, 2012 if it was good enough for roland .... love it want one
