One of the guys on the engeering forum im on has done it to promote our safe and secure fitting scheme we run to try to show that using a decent engineer you get a better job done, i think it's a cracking way of showing you pay peanuts and get a monkey job done

 

 

 

The serious part is that some of the installs we see every day, some carried out by "larger chains" are similar to the monkeys fit, the amount of amp wiring battery cables i've seen fed through the door shut and tape to the bonnet over the years and non fused it's no wonder that some catch fire !!!

btw, if i were to cut into the stereo permanent live and earth and split off wires to run an analogue clock would that work ok?
