  1. Ta Standard stuff really. It's got a mildly tuned 2.0 pinto with a type 9 5 speed (it was originally a 1300 crossflow and an automatic - before I got it)
  2. doh! just seen this my actual moneypit is a mk1 Escort
  3. thanks - it went for way less than I still think it's worth but not so little that I'm gutted to let it go I was resigned to the fact that I would be paying the impending ulez charge in order to keep driving it so in a way the timing was pretty good to make that decision for me I don't like being down to just owning one classic ford though ;-(
  4. much appreciated - lots of watchers but just needs that first bid - I'm resigned to getting way less than I thought I would now ;-(
  5. I was hoping to avoid it but I've put this up on eBay now https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133856585626?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20180816085401%26meid%3Db31cbbb1face49b18bc866645a1d73c9%26pid%3D100970%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D154580138781%26itm%3D133856585626%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100970.m5481&_trkparms=pageci%3Aac416153-04cf-11ec-a826-1e1d04f3d807|parentrq%3A77f3869a17b0a9fa6d820437fff70d82|iid%3A1
  6. much appreciated I think the price is just right at £2000 but I'm shocked at how little some people seem to think it's worth online - I've had some ridiculously low offers I'm no expert but I've got a reasonable idea btw I've never had any trouble with emissions at MOT
  7. is that Holden? a mate of mine has had a Maloo for a long time - way cool! surely some kind of alert must have been set off posting one of these on a Ford forum
  8. ah thanks for editing for me - I could not for the life of me find a button to press I'm amazed it didn't go straight away, I pictured someone with an engine sat waiting, picking it up and having it back running again within the week! we don't get the ute so much over here - I guess the P100 counts? but they are very cool I'd happily get it shoved into a container for you
  9. I'm still too stupid to work out how to edit a post but anyway, price drop down to £2000
  10. yeah it's weird, I'm aware of a couple of Sierras up for sale at the moment and for some reason they haven't sold. I thought I'd put this up online and it'd be gone in a couple of days I'd love to see this old thing with something fruity under the bonnet!
  11. I'm hoping to avoid eBay but it does feel kind of inevitable that it'll end up on there - I will give it a bit longer though, I'd love to just go directly to a fellow old Ford head - potentially got someone coming round tomorrow
  12. I can't seem to work out how to edit this post but I wanted to change the price - I'll take £2250 ono
  13. It's quite a rare beast 1.8cvh goes really well I reckon (well, not this one at the moment, but it did!)
  14. After a decade of reliable, faithful service it's time to sell our Sierra Azura estate. 1.8cvh with 5 speed manual gearbox It's a 1993 car so one of the last ever Sierras - someone probably walked past a brand new Mondeo and bought this (and quite right too!) It's a special edition Azura - it's pretty basic though, I think it was just the alloy wheels that they added It's done 130,000 miles (nearly half of those with me behind the wheel) and until a few weeks ago, never given me any mechanical trouble at all. We've been all over the place in it and it really is the best car I've ever owned in terms of looking cool and not letting me down The reason it's up for sale now is that the engine seized (I'm told just the bottom, the head seems to be ok - I was also told the cam belt was totally fine) I can't really afford to have the 1.8cvh rebuilt or buy a replacement engine and I'm not man enough to attempt anything myself either ;-( This could be the opportunity for someone with more skill than me to sort the original engine themselves or to drop something more exciting in there It's been properly serviced every year and anything needed for the MOT has been done to a good standard - yes it's had some welding underneath, it's also had new sills and rear arches and a replacement rear bumper - it doesn't currently need anything doing to it apart from a few cosmetic bits and bobs. It has 4 new matching Goodyear tyres. It has an obligatory 90s big bore back box but apart from that (and a load of stickers) it's completely standard I've filled the boot with all the Sierra spares that I've accumulated over the years and this will all be thrown in with the price. There's all sorts, a front bumper, headlights, rear lights, indicators, wing mirrors, door glass, handles, dash clocks, trim etc. MOT until December 2021 Located in South East London and I work from home so viewing can be arranged pretty much whenever suits you £2500 Contact me on here or get me on 07939 206540 Obviously it can't be driven as it is so it will need to be trailered away to its new home I really love this car so it's been a tough decision and I'll not be giving it away
  15. Exactly the wort of thing I was after - thanks Jo
  16. doh! then, yes please, if you have a photo of it on a car that would be perfect
  17. I wouldn't say no - but i was mostly wondering if anyone had a photo of it to hand in their car window - i have the file obviously but it would look much nicer actually on a car
  18. I'm making a portfolio of design work that I have done and I wondered if anyone has a high res pic of either a drag challenge sticker or the 10 year anniversary sticker on their cars that they wouldn't mind sharing? cheers
  19. i need to check with the wife that we can do those dates but deffo up for it again - it was a lovely weekend
  20. it was a lovely weekend, well worth the trip and that field can hold a fair few more cars so next year it'll be even bigger and better thanks everyone
  21. Sign me up for next year for sure! 500 odd miles was a big ask for my temperamental old thing but we made it there, drove around and made it back without incident. I haven't been on many tours but it was the most relaxed and yet well organised that I have experienced - huge thanks to everyone involved The tour notes and the quiz as we went round were great. the drunken quiz at the campsite was a lot of fun in the evening too Camping really added to the experience so I recommend that part to anyone considering joining in next year I really need to get some new foam in my seat for the next long drive though!
