lotus steels

Hi all, need a bit of advice/help. Im trying to pinpoint the age of my set of wheels, they have 881a stamped on the hub cap lugs, they are the riveted type & im sure on one of the rims inside there was a little D Logo. Someone told me that these would be early Mk1 Lotus Cortina? Any help welcomed. cheers Dave.

hi as far as i know the early lotus rims where riveted and the later ones where spot welded
