Muzzman Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 I'm looking into college evening classes in the London/Essex area, has anyone done one, if so was it worthwhile?
over_head_cam Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 I didn't know there were any lol. I this were America you could find a course for practically anything. But we're not
Muzzman Posted May 14, 2013 Author Report Posted May 14, 2013 Few around.... http://www.classicandperformancecar.com/features/theknowledge/240409/restoration_workshops.html
over_head_cam Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 You learn something new every day Excellent idea. Could end up quite expensive if you go for a lot of different courses, but would be worth it.
mk2 mike Posted May 14, 2013 Report Posted May 14, 2013 If love to do something like this but just can't get regular time off work to attend a weekly course.
Muzzman Posted May 15, 2013 Author Report Posted May 15, 2013 I'm looking at the Colchester Institute, North East London College and one other in Barnet, evenings 6.30 - 9pm, only £300 for 6 months of training at the colleges. Seeing I have no current practical car skills it's the easiest way to get a head start 1
SmokeEm Posted May 15, 2013 Report Posted May 15, 2013 sounds like a bargain to me - practical experience & confidence for £300. No brainer!
SebringRS Posted May 16, 2013 Report Posted May 16, 2013 I did Vehicle Body Repair at college, hoping it would be more resto type stuff, judging by the mk1 cortina we had in and the mk1 fez.....but all ive done on the cortina is slap more and more filler on it Just sort of glad it isnt mine I applied for Mechanics next year too, but doubt we will have much old stuff in, will be all computers
