Control_67 Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 The steering wheel on my GXL has lost it's cover, the skinny Bakelite isn't the most pleasant thing to hold on to so I'm looking for a replacement. I'd prefer something oldskool like classic mountney or springalex style or even a riveted wood wheel. Thanks in advance
GAV55S Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 I have a new mountney Boss which i bought a while back , It was advertised as mk3-4-5 Steering wheel boss , I paid £20 odd + Postage , Would take my money back if you are interested , Thanks Gav
Control_67 Posted September 13, 2013 Author Report Posted September 13, 2013 Sounds good, is it the mountney classic or 'm' range?
GAV55S Posted September 14, 2013 Report Posted September 14, 2013 Hello mate , Dont know how i would tell the differance as i dont think its in its original box , Sticker on the box says mk4/5 cortina so please check this will fit a mk3 before you buy , The Boss is black in colour , measures 5" in depth and tapers in as it goes towards the coloumn , Accross the bottom measures 7cm and the hole in the steering wheel you buy would need to be 9cm and have 6 nut/srew holes , Hope this helps , Thanks Gav
Control_67 Posted September 14, 2013 Author Report Posted September 14, 2013 Sounds worth a punt. PM me your payment details and a price and we can go from there. Thanks, kev
metalmoth Posted October 28, 2013 Report Posted October 28, 2013 Hi did you know that a mini has the same splines as a mk3 cortina so there must be loads of steering wheel/boss combinations to choose from as mini tuning stuff is big business.
