polybushing a mk1 escort

I'm thinking of polybushing my mk1 escort but ive herd it makes the car rattle cus it makes the ride so hard. If any one has polybushed  theres wa difference has it made to the ride of ur car?

make sure you buy decent polybushes it makes all the difference,and it shouldn't rattle

Yellow Polysports are generally less harsh than Red Polyrace.

i got super flex in my mk 1 and does make car handle better as for a harsh ride i did new shocks at same time so whole car felt different

I got some cheap flow flex bushes and they split already,only had them 2 year but only been on the car 2 month

I used Superflex and have gone back to rubber on the inner track rod as it was too harsh with the poly.

I also put a rubber bush back in the leading eye on the springs as the poly made the rear very snappy and ruined the lovely "feel" an escort should have.

Now its nice and firm but the oversteer is progressive

I would not do it again did it on my last car Ford fitted rubber ones for a reason they made the drive harsh and needed replacing after 2 yrs as they had worn
