Anybody in south Essex got a slide hammer I can borrow please?

Need to remove drive shafts from axle, anybody got a slide hammer I can use? Or any other suggestions please cheers I'm in aveley essex

You "can" bolt a old steel wheel back on and beat the inside with a big club hammer or sledge at a push if you're stuck.

I'd probably take it into the garden first if you want to be still be talking to the old doris when you've finnished.

Take the bolts out that hold the shaft in, then with a drift, or a slightly thinner bolt tap the shaft out through the bolt holes. keep turning the shaft to a different position and it will come out. HTH

as above stick a old steel wheel on an beat the living daylights out of it    you might chase it around the garden a bit but it will come out    if you got a solid object to ratchet strap it too that will help

I have a slide hammer but not the attachment for the hub, your welcome to borrow it am only in ockendon but won't be about till 3 pm.

Ooh yes please I do have attachment somewhere that I made before when I had use of one.. Should be in the boot

Attempted to hit the shafts out last night before it got too dark using an old steel, apart from I now have a buckled wheel- made no difference lol.

 

Found a slide hammer set on eBay for about £35, anybody know how bad the quality is? Or shall I be the guinea pig?

Ya I got the full kit I just got to get it back from my mate, and do you know we have a meet at the eagle kelvedon hatch tom 18 30 onwards I will be there just alittle bit late come up and say hello if your free.
