Type 9

Hi got a slight vibration in 5th gear on my type9, all the other gears are fine, any ideas anyone? Cheers

sounds like a gearbox issue

i was told layshaft bearings as mines now a holwer

im no expert but im sure I read a article in classic ford by a gearbox specialist saying about the box being designed as a 4 speed an converted to 5 speed   the bearing on the main shaft isn't in a great position an causes failures in 5th gear cant really remember what it said exactly I think it said the later version of the t9 beefed up the bearings to combat the problem I think it also had a additional oil way too
