Fitting a New Clutch Kit

I'm trying to fit a new 3 piece clutch kit, and the bearing in the gear box housing is causing a problem.

It's a standard Escort Mk2 gearbox, but to release the arm to get the bearing out I've been told to pull/twist the metal circle bolt that connects the arm?? But it's solid I've greased and sprayed up and nothing???

I'm clearly missing a trick???? Any help would be greatly received!!!

no mate that pin don't move,the arm slots on that,the bearing either twist one way  or just pushed on
