Just wondering is it possible to stick a 105e on a jig with the axles/suspension still on? Ive got mostly everything else off of it but in all honesty with little knowledge of cars im trying to keep this simple haha.

I took everything off mine including all suspension, running gear, doors, bonnet and boot lid, made it nice and controllable to spin upside down.

Ill easy take off doors and bootlid. Bonnets already off but was just after knowing if the jig would take the weight of it still with the axles on it?

I had the axles and suspension on my escort(a little heavier than an Anglia) when I mounted it on my  jig(makes it easier to get the car up to height) and it felt quite sturdy but I wouldn't  really recommend working on it like that . Why are you putting it on the jig? if it needs major work you may as well remove the suspension anyway. ;)

Thanks :) not major work just want to scrape the sh*te off the bottom to see what i need to weld underneath and cant be assed lying on my back with underseal crap falling on me haha. Could easy lift it enough to spin it then lower it down on an old mattress or something so its not continually straining the jig.

To be honest if you do remove the axle and suspension I think you will be glad you did as it really does make a difference to how easy you can spin it round(as glen320 said).its suprising how often you move it around to get into awkward places and work comfortably, one man can spin it upside down without the running gear on very easily.

Its more for easiness on my half because if i take it off I'll more than likely never get them back on and i want the car on the road this year haha. Just want to give it a tidy up underneath and make sure its solid enough for a mot. As for spinning it when it goes on the jig and when im out at the shed playing with it my dad will more than likely be there too so he can help spin it if needs be. Ill give it a go and if worse comes to worse I can take them off :)
