Chingford - Larkswood Leisure Centre/Frankie and Benny's Meet

Hi guys,

 

So I remember a few years ago there being loads of cars at the front of the Larkswood Leisure Centre car park (towards chingford mount), it was a good mix of cars and quite a few old skool fords!

 

Anyone used to go/know any reason it seems to have stopped over the last year or so?

 

I remember there being a good 30-40 cars there every last Friday of the (sunnier) month and the same for bikes, sometimes a few police directing people and even a BBQ!

 

Any ideas as it used to be good fun?!

it was run by the rottbox rodders without any problems. some people from the houses opposite complained and the local council got involved and wanted someone to be responsible for running it

and it then becomes a legal/health+safety minefield

This meet is still going on , last friday of Mounth a few turned up june,
