Mk1 Mexico Steering coloumn

Hello OSF people,

I am looking for an early Mk1 Mexico steering column to suit my long stem rack. I've lost mine during storage & want to fit it back on the car soon. Or even the measument of the overall length will do & I'll cut & shut a standard column ? Cheers

Could you not change the long stem for a short one? I don't know if you're looking for originality, but I would have thought a standard column would be easier to find?

Thanks for the suggestion, Your right & I did think of going for a short stem rack but, I need the long stem rack partly for originality & partly to clear the mex big wing sump & starter motor on the 2000e box & as far as I know the flex coupling will be in the way if its down low near the rack.

If you have to end up buying one, would you consider an electric powered one cut to the length you want. I would think you've then got the best of both worlds.
