Depending on the outcome of an eBay auction next week I may have one, out of an anglia, what sort of cash are you offering? That is unless you have a 3.77, 3.9 or possibly a 3.89 or at a push a 3.54 to do a swap?

Swap for a 3.89 looks Ok assuming if it is in good nick, difficult to work out prices as the 4.4 does not come up too often. I am using a type 9 so the 4.4 will be too short, especially in first, for road use.

Out if interest, if you have a 3.77 in good condition, what would you want on top of the 4.4 diff for that.

How desperate are you for it, mine is in the car at the moment, a car I have not run but is a 1200 anglia super with 44k on the clock, one lady owner so should be pretty good but will not know until I remove it. I have confirmed it is a 4.4 by doing the wheel turn thing. However I will not be able to remove for a couple of weeks if that is Ok.

Asuming that is Ok we can swap pics once I have the diff out and then arrange postage, each paying their own way?

Cheers

Cheers, not bothered about Prop flange size, either will do but I guess bigger may be better, as I currently have no Prop and will need to have one custom built for the anglia to fit whatever diff I use and the type 9 I have.

Do you have a 3.77, and if so would you do part ex on the 4.4 with a bit of cash your way?

Cheers Neil, my preference would be for the 3.77 depending on the cash difference and it being in good condition, that will suit my type 9 gearbox and higher reving motor better

(zetec se 1.7 puma engine with 7200rpm red line as standard but may upgrade to arp bolts and stronger valve springs at some point to raise that to just over 8k). I was going to have to drop the rear axle in the next couple of months so this has just moved it up the job list. I need to give my axle a coat of paint and need to pull the shafts out to fit my rear disk brackets (caprisport kit plus xr4x4 calipers and discs) so good timing.

Look forward to hearing the result of you lockup delving session.

Just to confirm that given a fair wind I should be able to extract the diff this weekend (Saturday fingers crossed), any luck with the 3.77 hunt?
