  2. Thanks Ugg10 its sods law I sold two about a year ago now a mate who does hillclimbs and sprints wants one!! Will double check 3.89's for you and pick the best one, what propshaft flange size are you on? Thanks again I will pm a contact number. Regards Neil
  3. Would do a straight swap for 3.89 or 4.125 but not the 3.77 . What would you want for an outright sale?
  4. As per title, cash waiting. Thanks Neil
  5. Hi Go onto Burlen fuel systems website and type in those numbers and it should say what they are off. Burlen are the main agents/manufacturer for SU carbs.I have just done a similar set up on a Reliant Scimitar Coupe that uses the same engine the ID numbers on the carbs fitted to that were AUD161. HTH Neil
  6. Hi Paul, Burton Power sell a kit one for £15 + post part number is: QS03K or you could buy the Quaife type already assembled for around £50 from eBay, Rally Design and Burtons etc. HTH Regards Neil
  7. Hi Paul Car looks very smart nice spec too. The two issues you have, the gear lever, you could fit a quick shift kit (approx £20) which will shorten the throw and may help, also the oil I use Valvoline VR1 20/50 correct vicosity and has the right grade to suit the OHC. Regards Neil If you need a hand give me a shout, not too far away from me.
  8. Yes you can either use the thackery washer option or the Cosworth rubber mount type also made by Misab. I find thackerys always seem to crack after time so I use the Misab version, usually buy these off eBay; 360407696390 and the mounts;150731135429. So plates go between carb and manifold then the carb then rubber mount(washer, rubber bobbin, washer) then a nyloc nut and tighen down equally until there is about a 2mm gap inbetween the two washers, job done. Hope this helps Neil
  9. Hi, If you are referring to Misab type seals then yes and yes (anti-vibration and a tight arse )seriously though they maintain a seal and dampen vibration to stop fuel frothing. Hope this helps Neil
  10. Good advice, please make sure you use the correct grade/tensile strength bolts in high stress areas such as suspension/steering/drivetrain. Stainless is all very well as corrosion resitance but it is in its nature brittle Hope this helps Neil
  11. Yes, Try Think Automotive I think they are 3/8 NPTF thread (crossflow) off the top of my head, link; http://www.thinkauto.com/acatalog/On_li ... __249.html Hope this helps Regards Neil
  12. Hi Std fuel pump is below your distributor just follow the fuel line from your carb. If carb is quite new could be a stuck needle valve or you mean its done starship miles it will probably be worn on the spindle and drawing air Hope you sort it Regards Neil
  13. Hi Are you still on std engine driven fuel pump or electric? If on an electric Facet etc you will probably need an inline regulator such as Filterking. Fuel pressure at the carb should be approx 2.5 psi with 3.5 max anymore and you will have the symtoms you describe. If still on std again check fuel pressure to eliminate fuel pump probs if ok change needle valve in carb and check float heights(check also floats for damage/puncture) Hope this helps Neil
  14. On the flip side what is also happening is good servicable parts are being sold on ebay, he buyers claim they don't work, get a refund then return their own damaged part . So its seller beware as well Hope you get it sorted Regards Howie
