Col-ashtonmobile Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 I agree with Dalmarshall , things like buyimg engines off e bay are always dangerous unless you hear them running , your stumbling block now is you've stripped it down . Firstly did it not start ' knocking ' and making a noise prior to seizing ? if so or if not you should have contacted him before stripping and said either ' i want you to come and either listen to this engine making a noise or see that this engine has seized , then said ' and bring my money with you please ' , if he declines then you get an independant engineer to strip it and report . But who's to say that he wont say ' well they are not the bearings i fitted , thats not the head i fitted , thats not the engine i sold you , Tricky one now i'm afraid .
puddy Posted February 10, 2015 Report Posted February 10, 2015 ^^^^^^^^^^ Gotta agree I'm afraid. On a similar note I sold a gsxr throttle body setup on the bay recently , guy came back and said the throttle motors were not working . I knew they were good but had not marked them at all. I wiil in the future. Good luck , Puddy
