luckyjim Posted March 12, 2015 Report Posted March 12, 2015 yeah, Guy 'aye lad,ah always say everything twice me,always say everything twice' Martin would be good lol . And although I don't condone violence in the workplace, I would have slapped that smarmy producer too if I only had a cold platter instead of a juicy steak just because I turned up two hours late lol 1
chugg-a-boom Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Guy Martin is a good shout. He's a bit of a legend at our local road race/hill climb sprint circuit. His Volvo Amazon is awesome. 2
e501 Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Guy martin is good, as guy martin, hes not Jeremy Clarkson who is top gear really, since the format changed and it became general entertainment instead of primarily a car programme. 1
chugg-a-boom Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 That's true e501. He's too, well, nice. Where's the fun in that!
mk2 mike Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 That's true e501. He's too, well, nice. Where's the fun in that! Read his autobiography. 'Nice' men don't have foursomes in the back of a transit van lol 2
dalmarshall Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 With 3 birds.......right? That's damn cool 1

Stiggy Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 Clarkson Clarkson Clarkson. Perhaps it's all clarkson so you dont see this ?????? http://www.theguardian.com/society/2015/mar/12/nhs-agrees-largest-ever-privatisation-deal-to-tackle-backlog Of course it may just be me.
chugg-a-boom Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 Read his autobiography. 'Nice' men don't have foursomes in the back of a transit van lol Well that's it, its a done deal then! I don't wanna be a nice bloke any more, I wanna be b*****d like Guy!!
mk2 mike Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 With 3 birds.......right? That's damn cool Not quite. His mate had a new girlfriend and she wanted to 'get to know' Guy and another one of their mates a bit better so all four of them piled into the back of a van to err... Get more acquainted. Turns out it was all a bit too much for Guy who just sat on the wheel arch and watched in nowt but his socks throughout the whole thing. His book is well worth a read!
Craig89 Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 I have got his book, looking forward to reading it
khanlad Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 Ive got it, not got round to reading it yet
Tackleberry Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 "Too much political correctness bollox in the world nowadays in my eyes." Same here in Australia. Increasing levels of scrutiny and accountability from governments. Almost nil ability for personal defence. I recently watched Ross Kemp doing a bit on the bike gangs in Oz...can't ride in groups containing more than 2, or even be affiliated with someone in one...or you go to prison?! WTF.. 1
popeye Posted March 15, 2015 Author Report Posted March 15, 2015 Watched the Ross Kemp myself..... interesting.. makes you think about our meets over here..
Tackleberry Posted March 16, 2015 Report Posted March 16, 2015 Exactly, when we ride out, there's normally between 5 and 10 of us and we always get a couple of riders out with thier mates who tag along which we don't mind..
PeterMEscort Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Unfortunately this is only the start of it. Family law is much worse. Just don't be an Aussie male and get married. The wife has the ability to take 80% of all the husband's assets without question, including his superannuation. Even if your girlfriend doesn't live with you and she decides to leave her clothes (such as a pair of undies) at your place for a fixed time, she can claim a large percentage of your home.
SmokeEm Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 ^^^ At last! I always knew there had to be a downside to living in Australia. All we Brits get to hear is how wonderful it is! Now I know that IF we emigrated to Oz, MrsSmokeEm would be entitled to 80% of my fook all possessions 1
PeterMEscort Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Well she may not get the 80%, or 70%, or 60%, or even 50%, because divorce cases usually go through the Family Law Courts, some cases drag on for months and years and cost heaps of money and destroy people emotionally. It is the solicitors and legal firms that always win. Usually the male ends up in debt. If he has two children as dependents, if he is smart, it is best he just walks away and just gives her everything. If you have no money the legal system, via the solicitors, offer secured loans, currently at 18% interest in today's money. So in effect the loan funds more legal challenges. The solicitors win yet again. Don't forget our "Hooning Laws". If you get caught doing something stupid in your car (such as drag racing on the streets, even for a few seconds), your car will be immediately impounded by the police for 3 months. Then, if you don't play the game, or you are caught again, your car will be crushed, and you will be sent the bill. Unfortunately Australia is controlled by the corrupt legal system and political system which produces "legislation". Oh, and don't forget Australia is one country that many people are forced to pay 110% of their personal income tax each and every year. That way the state gets 10% extra free tax 12 months in advance. But the weather is nice. The only country I have visited is Germany in May 2006. It was very obvious that Germany was a much freer country to live and work in.
SmokeEm Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 So not all Fosters and beach volleyball then 2
chugg-a-boom Posted March 24, 2015 Report Posted March 24, 2015 Your not selling it to me there Pete! I thought it was all fair dinkum, sheilas and no wucking furries We have good weather too you know. Summer's the best week of the year! 2
PeterMEscort Posted March 25, 2015 Report Posted March 25, 2015 ha ha! Folk lore. Can't remember when i went to the beach last (years). Was a wonderful country to grow up in in the 1960's, '70's and '80's. But something changed in the early 1990's. Everyone is way too serious now. The "winter" here is really only 3 months. Can safely drive our old cars all year round, we don't have the rot problems as Europe. Take my hat off to restorers in the UK. 1
