  1. I have no connection, but found this number 01234 826827 for milton
  2. Tried Milton ? i think they used to offer a bolt on kit that fitted to the original legs..
  3. Had a dolly sprint approaching 40 years ago, very good car, overdrive was nice. Was certainly faster than my mexico and my home made rs2000. Let down by half the head bolts going in at an angle instead of vertical which caused head gasket failure. Live rear axle was nicely located. So yeah a better car but i preferred the mk1 escort...
  4. I expect the ****s blocking the m25 will buy them.. then they can just drive around the m25 flat out or run out of battery and stop the traffic...
  5. Meant air cooled
  6. It was a horrible beetle thing, where the top is chopped of and replaced with a soft top i think, forget what they are called, not too interested in water cooled vw,s. But agree 8 years is not enough for such a horrendous crime, poor chap lost an eye...
  7. No because power and aerodynamics also come into it..
  8. But in a light car with a ton of cast iron up front wouldnt think they are needed, didnt ford use smaller drums on the rs2000..
  9. But i dont think ev,s charge up in 5 minutes, something i was reading about the other day was i think 4 hours for a 80 % charge, not much good on a long journey. And as we probably all know if this country ceased to exist it would have no noticeable effect on world emissions, yet we are being forced into ev,s ..
  10. I bought a pair of original princess calipers years ago, never weighed them but they were so heavy, ( felt heavier than my spaced m16 calipers) quickly sold them on..
  11. No No No, the flames are on the good(ish) bit..
  12. I think he must get reported because suddenly they dissapear from sale, then pop up again under a different user name, does various cars but the ones i notice are ford anglias and mk1 golfs.
  13. Yeah its a scam, been doing it a while on various cars, ebay gets rid of them and hes straight back under a different name. You can tell its him because they have a rather odd price..
  14. Fast back model, i remember back in the 1970,s someone i knew bought a brand new skoda, while looking around it i noticed you could see the road through the gap between the sill and bottom of the door.. Excellent quality control.
  15. Thats the bit of the show that always annoyed me, even when he sells the cars back to their original owners..
  16. Had a 1300 gt 35 odd years ago, had non flared wings, normal strut tops and black rear panel.. (oh and absolutely no rust)
  17. Assume you mean ther 6r4 but with twin turbos i believe
  18. Not watched top gear regularly for a few years now, even with the 3 good presenters, i find racing an aeroplane, boat, modern train, mountain climber etc pretty boring and nothing to do with cars really, which is what i watch it for.
  19. Shame about the roof chop
  20. Thanks for that i did try looking myself at old stuff.
  21. Thats the problem, i cannot remember anything about the sale, at the time i just wanted rid, but now youve said that you could be right. A few details as it was at the time, 5 linked rear escort axle with badly welded in link box,s, spare wheel holder was cut in half, 2 ltr fiat twin cam engine and 5 speed box, escort front suspension, new revolution wheels / tyres but i do seem to remember seeing those advertised for sale..
  22. Bought this in 1987, think it came with a 1300, which i swapped for a 1600, sold it in the early 90,s by which time it had a full f/glass front, does it survive.
  23. Does anyone know this car, think i advertised / sold it on this site about 9 years ago, would potentially like to buy it back.
  24. selection of road tests of various mk1 escorts rs 1600, rs 2000, 1300e allard, Crayford, broadspeed etc.. Item in Cambridgeshire, will post to normal uk postcodes for £14. struggling with a photo.
  25. If my memory is correct (99% sure) I removed these from a mk1 Cortina 1500 gt back in the long hot summer of 1976. they were to go in my similar engined Anglia 105e, but have sat in my shed ever since, They go in either side of the inlet manifold and and the t piece is for the heater connection. Think they are brass, far superior to the alloy ones that corrode. £25 collected from Cambridgeshire or I will post for £5 to normal uk postcodes. Having trouble doing a photo, will have to get some help ( computer retard)
