looney_mom Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 I am really hoping someone on here will be able to help me and my teenage daughter out. Some of you may vaguely remember I used to be a fairly regular member on here a few years back. My husband, Tony & myself were very much into my capris at the time. Sadly in March of 2009 Tony died suddenly and as a consequence of that I had to get rid of pretty much everything. I had one capri left, a really tidy Brookie, which when I felt up to it, I finished it and put it back on the road only to have some utter **** steal it. I just didn't have the stomach to go through anything else Capri related after that. I just felt I'd lost too much to deal with anymore. However... this year the older of our two girls leaves senior school and for her school prom she really REALLY wants to go in a capri. Its her personal nod to her father and the fact that he has missed so much of his childrens lives. She spent her early years growing up surrounded by them and it seems only natural to her that she should go in one of Ford's finest. So... if anyone is local to us in Southampton and is able to help us out for one night we would be so grateful. Without sounding like we are being picky if at all possible she would prefer a V engine. The reason is before he died her father was rebuilding his capri complete with a chevy v8 and also his present to me was the Brookie so its for that reason only. Tony would just melt at the sound of a V6 or 8 and she really wants to be able to go to the prom with her father uppermost in her heart and mind. The prom is on July 9th, but we are yet to be informed of the location Mods I hope this is ok to post here? If I have broken any rules, please accept my apologies and delete 1
SmokeEm Posted June 4, 2015 Report Posted June 4, 2015 I suggest you get hold of Turbo Mike. He owns the Capri that Kat n Alfie left eastenders on and he is a TOP bloke too. He lives only 40 miles tops from you so ideal. If costs are an issue, let us at OSF know. 2

Doesnt seem possible does it, not quite sure myself where thats gone to be honest... Life isn't bad, in fact it could be an awful lot worse. I do miss having my capris to play with though Somehow pootling permanently around in a Mondeo estate dogmobile does not have quite the same feel to it... 1

I have spoken to Mike's wife this evening and Mike is going to ring me hopefully tomorrow, but if for any reason it doesnt pan out it would be great to have you on standby.
