Mark2Mark Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Can't wait for this now, but only just noticed there are no spectator stages saturday night Who has been before and can recomened good places to watch on the sunday? Thanks Mark
kms Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 We go every year too - and was gutted about the saturday night stage cause we've already booked a room for that night. Which stages are you watching on Sunday? We are going to go to the Blidworth stage - not been to this one yet so not sure where to stand. But we are going to both the Clipstone north stages - we often walk round most of the stage - but Simon likes to stand by the 'whoops' and there is one bit of the stage where there are two crossroads and you can see 6 different bits of the stage. My favorite bit is a tight lefthander up a narrow tree lined hill - watched a mk2 astra destroy himself in there a couple of years ago Kathy
RallyOrange Posted March 5, 2007 Report Posted March 5, 2007 Get to Blidworth early as all 5 car parks fill up very quick Personally I think that there's many good vantage points in Blidworth, not too long a stage to find a good one, many competitors like this stage as I do, very quick stage, with interesting crests and hills. (up & down) have a good day.
tim Posted March 10, 2007 Author Report Posted March 10, 2007 off to Thieves 2mora for there 2 runs there in the classic section there is 26 escorts out of 28 cars and 24 escorts in the historics
RallyOrange Posted March 12, 2007 Report Posted March 12, 2007 Very nice to have met you at last chap!! Sorry I'd not got more time to chat. You took some brilliant pics yet again, one of your pics is another bit of proof we are still flying the O.S.F flag. Although I tried my best to go at a speed where people couldn't have the time to read it, as well as my own stickers Just hope they look at their pics and others later to see them. I hope you enjoyed the day, and had a good journey home. Thanks again,
kms Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 My friend got some video footage of you at Clipstone - looked like you were flying when you came past us! T'was a great weekend - How did you do Rally Orange?
RallyOrange Posted March 13, 2007 Report Posted March 13, 2007 We had a great fun day, 22nd overall and 5th in class. Bearing in mind that the stages were the roughest I've seen in 15 years, and another competitor said it was the worst he'd seen in 20 years!! Not forgetting we got a bum start position of 44, therefore having alot of dangerous ruts and holes to get through, round, over! I would like the video footage if it could be e-mailed to me please?? But most of all, we have been awarded the Best Ford of the event! So very happy!! Thanks for your kind words, and thanks to all for the support.
