  1. Just one of you that have such kind words! I'm very flattered, thanks people, you lot are what makes this the top forum, period!!!
  2. I'm just so proud to say that we have been awarded the best Ford of the Robin Hood Stages Rally 2007!! I do carry the old skool ford sticker in the back window too!! I just wanted to shout about this, as It's the first time after my very best efforts. Thanks to those of you who came along and gave us a cheer or support. If anyone has any phone video, I'd appreciate you sending it to me in an e-mail please. rallyorange@hotmail.co.uk Thanks,
  3. We had a great fun day, 22nd overall and 5th in class. Bearing in mind that the stages were the roughest I've seen in 15 years, and another competitor said it was the worst he'd seen in 20 years!! Not forgetting we got a bum start position of 44, therefore having alot of dangerous ruts and holes to get through, round, over! I would like the video footage if it could be e-mailed to me please?? But most of all, we have been awarded the Best Ford of the event! So very happy!! Thanks for your kind words, and thanks to all for the support.
  4. Very nice to have met you at last chap!! Sorry I'd not got more time to chat. You took some brilliant pics yet again, one of your pics is another bit of proof we are still flying the O.S.F flag. Although I tried my best to go at a speed where people couldn't have the time to read it, as well as my own stickers Just hope they look at their pics and others later to see them. I hope you enjoyed the day, and had a good journey home. Thanks again,
  5. Engine laquer../..Smootherite. Isprayed mine with some high temp paint.
  6. Gently heat the opposite side of the panel where posible, I use a propane bottle with a blow lamp, with a sensible flame, then the underseal scrapes off with, as you said a scraper. The re-treatment is up to you, as what you find as the best looking ect. My sugestion is to shults, as you will more than likely take off some paint when removing the original underseal, and wax oil tends to be more translucent, but I guess you will see and deside as and when. Hope this helps,
  7. Get to Blidworth early as all 5 car parks fill up very quick Personally I think that there's many good vantage points in Blidworth, not too long a stage to find a good one, many competitors like this stage as I do, very quick stage, with interesting crests and hills. (up & down) have a good day.
  8. I use the rear bumper hole locations, along with the front bumper irons replaced with stronger ones, with a flat bar welded to the ends, then the mount goes from there. Hope this helps. If this doesn't help please send me an E-mail, and I'll post you a couple of pics if you really need.
  9. You should have some from me chap
  10. Very nice As well as the Escorts, I just love to see the GrpB cars
  11. You can protest this officially!! I've signed the pettition, and can only suggest EVERYONE does the same!? http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax As many as posible NEED to sign!! Please follow the instructions in the link.
  12. As i've a link from my forum to hear, also my rally car carries the O.S.F window sticker, perhaps you could consider my web site? www.rallyorange.couk Thank you,
  13. Sorry there is cars in the way, but it's all I have.
  14. Spot on chap Nice compilation. Dont think it would matter the type or track runing in the background, it could be, when I'm cleaning windows for what it would matter, with such nice cars Also a big thanks for putting up a rallyorange pic on there
  15. Thanks yet again, it's really nice to hear feed back, I carry in-car camera on every rally, and get the out-car vids too. Well you never know? dread the thought! Currently making a compilation of all events dating back to 1992, but may narrow that down to just one or two events, with a little in and out car clips, too much may just be boring to most. As there's 2 full D.V.D's up to yet, and that's not using all the in-car stuff.
  16. Bangin Thanks for adding the rallyorange clip in there too chap Praise to thee!!! If you ever do another, please ask and I'll send you some stuff on D.V.D, or get a bit from the rallyorange.co.uk web site? I do have some clips that have been sent to me, from peoples mobiles too. The rallyorange forum has that clip posted too, there was going to be another 19 to add to that from the same event, but the guy never bothered, nor to send them to me, shame that
  17. You guys are right, less air restriction, acting like a parachute and less chance of being damaged from rocks and dirt, also allowing the exhaust to mount higher. Thanks for all your kind words and comments folks I do have a web site with some video clips on, also a forum, so if you want to look at more in action pics, vids, and build pics, please take a look Also notice the O.S.F sticker in the lower back window!!! Thanks again,
  18. Hi everyone, I just wanted to get the wishes of a very good 2007 to you all, before you all go and get too drunk. Have a good night tonight, but an even better new year
  19. The whole point of turrets is so you can have longer shock absorber travel, with a turret type shock absorber. Thus giving a cooler shock absorber in rough conditions. Depending on what you are going to do with your car depends on weather coil overs are an advantage. But I wouldn't recommend using both! In fact the coil over set up alone, puts far more stress on the shell than leaf springs. My philosophy is if the 4 link and slipper springs worked well for Ford in the day, it's good for me.
  20. What i do to tha plastic bit is put it on the bench grinder, to machine it down, you'll need to take quite a bit off, so be carefull to not grind through, also this bit slides out of the way of the other parts, so that you can turn it as you grind it. Keep offering it up to the tube on the bulk head, or find a washer that's the same size as the tube, so machine it down till it fits rather than trying to take it all off in one go. Never had a problem with doing this, meaning no detrament to the cable or how it works. Hope this helps, if it's what you are looking for. Thanks,
  21. and ask phil http://z9.invisionfree.com/Rally_Orange/index.php? Thanks a Tim, Hi Mark, you may be supprised how little you really need/required. It all depends on your choise of venue/rally, budget ect. The blue book can be very confusing!! even for the scruitineers, as it tends to be contridictive.
  22. Been there once in my car, would like to again chap.
  23. Here here Tim, had the cosseh in mi Escey, cost more in Grp A head gaskets and a new cylinder head than a little, to result in the last event of 1999 it blowing up completely! Power is nothing without reliability & consistancy.
  24. Thanks again guys and girls, The result could have been better was it not for all the accidents, which lead us to have 3 stages with an average time due to cancelations, as apossed to the actual stage time taken, along with the poor start number given, but not bad all considering. As for a fixture list Jo, that's difficult due to lack or no sponsor/s. However we want to enter the Robin Hood Stages, about March. We would also like to do the Dukeries Rally, and the Premier Rally, all of which are arround the Nott's Forests. But we would also like to have chance of 1 or more of the Yorkshire Rallies too, we would also like another try at an event in in Wales. All this is dependant on funds arround the time of the events. But I appreciate everyones kind words and and comments
  25. well for me, it would have to be as the following,
