  1. Sorry mate but I don't know much about these other than that they look pretty sweet! Nice car. How much room is there in the engine bay, not tempted to squeeze in a V6?
  2. I've got a SAAB one coming in the next day or so to try out, also found a SAAB pressure switch too on ebay for a few quid that I should hopefully be able to rig up to work with it. I'll let you know how it goes!
  3. Thanks, think I've found a Saab one that'll work, worth a go anyway!
  4. Cheers for the replies, I'll have a lsearch on the BSC forum Bortaf, thanks mate!
  5. Hi steve, due to the turbo the manifold pressure will be possitive when on throttle (Cossies didn't have a vac from the manifold they had a seperate abs pump setup). I know you don't usually have the throttle open when you are braking but as far as I know the servo won't work properly if used off the manifold presure.
  6. I've put a Yb turbo in my cortina and am looking at the options for keeping my brake servo. As there won't be enough vacuum from the inlet manifold I was thinking of using an electric vacuum pump if I can find one. Does anyone know of any cars that were fitted with then as standard? Electric cars use them apparently but theres not an abunance of them in scrappy's round here! I read sierra/granada's might have had em but can't be sure where I read it now. You can buy kits from the USA but they are pretty pricey... I know you can just remove the servo but I'd need a new brake master cylinder etc and it seems more hassle than just wiring in a pump! Cheers Tom
  7. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it mate.
  8. Does anyone know what gearbox this is? The tailhousing looks similar to this but the drain plug is on the other side and there are other differences too. http://www.burtonpower.com/technical_1/type_3_gearbox.aspx Any help would be great, cheers
  9. That will look hard as f**k if you drop it a couple of inches Love the wheels on that, makes a nice change.
  10. Thanks Bortaf, I might just run the standard Cortina axle for a bit and see what happens, I can always upgrade it when it breaks.
  11. So it looks like its a later mk2/mk3 axle on the capri then, is it pretty straight forward to weld on the extra brackets for the top mount arms so that it will fit the cortina?
  12. This is the one on the cortina, the bottom bolts off center so I think is a koln.
  13. It looks like they bolts are in line, it's hard to tell though as I can't get much of a view under the car, I take it that the bolts should be in line for an Atlas?
  14. Just measured the capri axle and its 52 inches, the Cortina's is just over an inch wider so I think it should work
