robert maguire Posted November 15, 2015 Report Posted November 15, 2015 Looking at gathering some bits to convert mk2 escort to Zetec.I have seen lots new bits for sale at high prices (especially with the exchange rate so bad).I have looked at Burton and Retro Ford but any other less expensive conversion kits available. Not show car just odd track day/ meets etc.I have engines available here. Thanks in advance Some suggested BJP or similar?? Any numbers
robert maguire Posted December 9, 2015 Author Report Posted December 9, 2015 Ok so no help here then.!! Anyway got 2 x 1.8 cvh sumps and 2 flywheels plus spoke to Matt from Motorsport Electronics re NoDiz Pro set up and he guided me to Dan ST Engineering for bike carbs and inlet manifold,so getting there bit by bit.Bike carbs seem good idea and a lot less money thatn 2 new sidedraughts for Zetec @ 1k approx plus linkage etc. Also have purchased mondeo 2.0 1999 with only 72k on it for engine extraction so should be good engine and t.belt done @ 78k so thats all good news.Anyone want engineless mondeo for small money in Dublin.Still need exhaust mani ,engine mountings for subframe ,not chassis, and alternator etc but they are easy enough to source ,even new are cheapish
