Thames 7cwt (Anglia) Van, 355HLU, Tankerton, Kent 25/01/16

A member of the Anglia Owners Club has reported that his 1964 Thames 7cwt van was stolen off his driveway in Tankerton, Kent on Monday/Tuesday 25/26th January 2016 from behind locked gates. Vehicle registration mark was 355 HLU and the chassis number H31 DO 31 001 (as supplied by owner) the dark blue van was not mint but it was all up and running and was taxed/tested until May 2016 other distinguishing features are it has no battery tray under the bonnet area, both front wings have been filled by the headlamps and both front and rear doors were showing signs of rust, the seats were original van type both of which were worn. There is a reward on offer for its safe return leading to prosecution of the low life's that stole it. Dont hold out much hope but if anyone hears of anything could they please get in touch with me or the Kent Police (I do have a crime number if needed) It belonged to an elderly gentleman of 84 who had owned it since 1978 and it was his pride and joy which he used to take his wife around to the local shops (she unfortunately passed away just before Christmas) so he now has a double loss to bare.

Blue Thames 7cwt van (Ford 105E van) registration number 355HLU was stolen from its elderly owner’s driveway in Tankerton, Kent overnight of 25^th/26^th January 2016. The car was taken from behind a locked set of gates. The vehicle has the chassis number (supplied by the owner) H31 D0 31 001. The blue paint was far from immaculate, it had faded giving it a patina’d look. Both front wings have been filled by the headlamps & all the doors were showing signs of rust.
The van has no battery tray under the bonnet & the van features its original van seats which are both worn.
The car has been owned by its 84 year old owner since 1978, it was his pride & joy which he used to use to take his wife to the local shops, unfortunately she died just before Christmas, so in just over a month he’s lost 2 things that were special to him!

There is a reward on offer for its safe return & prosecution of those responsible for stealing it.
