Recaros into escort mk1

Hi all,

I have a pair of Recaros that I want to fit to my escort mk1, are there any runners that bolt to the underside of the seats and line up with the existing holes in the floor?

Any help would be appreciated.

I've done this in my Mk2, the seat bolted straight to the standard runners and then straight into the car. I can't imagine they're much different on a mk1?

The original escort runners fit to the Recaros but don't line up withe the holes in the floor.

Oh I see... is it by much or just a tiny bit?

Several centimetres, especially at the rear(half a mile if your an engineer).

I have read of adapter brackets to solve the problem but they are rare. Just trying to avoid a bunch of holes in the floor.
