How to fix a glassfibre spoiler??

I've had a Motorsport spoiler copy for a mark 3 Capri in the garage for nigh on 5 years. I have temporarily fitted it to the front valance using self tappers to check clearance and appearance. I noticed that the spoiler wasn't a particularly good fit along the front in one or two places - probably down to the valance taking a few knocks over the years. Also noticed that the spoiler needs some sympathetic work with a bit of filler here and there. So the big question is why is the 'proper' way to fix it? Is it best to use self tappers or rivets or bond it? Not keen on the last option as it's more work. Views appreciated.

glass is easy to  mend make sure everything is clean dry and   put a layer of mat on with resin let it go off and two or three more layers on a day or two later

Luton. Don't really want to have respray the front if I can avoid it. Looking at various photos of the Motorsport spoiler on other capri's it seems they are sprayed up then fitted rather than fitted , blended, and then sprayed.

i would repair it from the back on the glass rather than the gel side and prep and paint the front

as i said glass is easy!!!!!! made this for a customer earlier this year

Cheers. Most of the filler work is at the front to smooth the moulding lines. Several indentations where there shouldn't be any. What's the best way to fix it to the car ?

self tappers or pop rivets but i would put a pu adhesive between the body and spoiler as well

Worth bonding in some extra metal brackets at the bottom to brace the supplier?

possibly but being stronger it will break if hit if its flexible its more likely to just crack and stay in place
