Orchid Posted May 11, 2019 Report Posted May 11, 2019 Ford Escort MK 1 Fuel Tank £40 Ford Escort MK 1 fuel tank, recently removed from my MK 1 Escort and in very good condition. Please view the photographs and you will see how good this is compared with the usual items offered for sale. The two top mounting bolt holes and bottom, rear mounting bolt hole are in excellent condition, however, there is as usual a rusted area around the bottom front mounting bolt hole, this is still able to be bolted up and there would be no problem whatsoever in bolting this tank in place and having it perfectly secure (there is no rust on the tank itself). Complete with fuel sender, breather pipe and fuel outlet at the base. Study the photographs, you will see that the base of the tank is painted with protective oil which obviously could be cleaned off if you wish, that would be your choice. There are small dents in the tank, these are unlikely to be an issue to anyone. Removed from the car and for sale only due to the fitting of a aluminium fuel tank. Obviously, this is light in weight but quite large in size and I have no means of packing this, indeed it could possibly be damaged in transit therefore collection in person only please.
