The Classic Ford October 2021 issue, available now, is dedicated to Ford’s classic Q-cars — brilliant blue ovals with a secret sting in their tail!

Like most things in car culture, the term ‘sleeper’ originated in the United States, but it’s been part of the UK Ford scene for almost as long, too. In fact, Ford were at it themselves when they introduced the Mk1 Zephyr Six — a car that arguably kickstarted the whole modified Ford movement we now know and love.

This issue we celebrate the classic Ford sleeper — a style that has never gone out of fashion and will be with us forever. And classic sleepers are ever-evolving too, with later cars now taking inspiration from their elders like the Superspeed Capri above.
Last month, we welcomed the return of Ford Fair — the first show we’ve been able to co-host for exactly two years. It was great to be back, and we’re not going to lie, slightly emotional, too. Catch up on all the classic action in this issue.
