FlakeyTheFlake Posted January 6, 2023 Report Posted January 6, 2023 Evening all, Currently trying to track down my father-in-law's pride and joy he had to begrudgingly sell in 2011-12. Not to buy unfortunately, as we don't have Mexico money since prices went bananas, but just so we have closure of the car's fate and whereabouts, since he put a lot of love into building that car how he wanted it. It was a genuine Type-49 Mexico, with a tweaked Pinto swap, and a few other resto-mod items. We've already done the usual checks of the ol' MOT and Tax, and it's last MOT was the date he took these photos. Apparently, the person he sold it to had engine issues on the way home so it had to be flat-bedded. Fortunately, we aren't trying to track down a car last seen in 1985, so we aren't looking for a Heinz Beanz tin made from bits of his old car, since this was sold when Mexicos were worth saving. We are hoping its sitting in someone's garage, "an' 'm gunna fix 'er up sum day" but that day is currently 12 years in the making If anyone knows about this car, we would love to hear an update on the old girl
