Best chrome polish

Sorry if this is in the wrong place

 

I was wondering if you have any reccomendations for the best chrome polish, im going to try cleaning the chrome up and see how it comes up before i rush into re-chroming

autosol all the way mate, used it on all my chrome and my brothers always used it on his motorbikes with chrome on

Autosol is abrasive and extensive chrome polishing should be avoided.

I used to be an Autosol man until I tried the Meguires Metal Polish... that brings chrome up a treat !!

 

And it smells nice too.

 

 

If its real rusty and oxidised then Autosol it first but then go over it with the meguires..

 

You can get it from Halfrauds.

Brings up my alloy header tank & rad a treat! Good on chrome too...

If the chrome is in good nick, no abrasive polish should be used. Even chrome polish is bad news as it will scratch the surface which will lead to pits and corrosion.

Silvo is the stuff to use. Used to be called duraglit silver. Not abrasive and still comes up a treat.

Don't know about the meguires stuff...... might be OK

Autosol, tho at work we give out tins of a chrome polish with new subscriptions entitled 'Blue Job'. Our subs are now handled by an external company, i think the subs girl had enough of hearing the same old comments on the phone

Thanks everyone, my dads got some autosol so ill give it a go this weekend

 

The stuff i got from Halfrauds is the T cut metal polish, iv got a dinted quarter bumper ill test them on...

 

Ill get some pics of her all polished up this weekend!
