  1. Pretty sure they only come in black... but I'll ask to see if they are available 'bare'
  2. Length does effect performance.... so the ladies say... But basically the rule of thumb is long trumpets for torque, short trumpets to top end horsepower. Design makes a big difference, we sell the Titan Motorsport Billet Trumpets after they made an extra 3.5bhp on my Zetec. They are a full radius mouth with a 7 degree taper, this serves to give smooth delivery of air with the slight taper increasing airspeed without causing turbulence. The work out about £24 each.. which is cheap horsepower really and they look the nuts !
  3. You just want to put the subtitles on and sing along dont you... I heard you humming 'Morning Has Broken' at the Classic Ford Show.... And 'Cum-by-yah' the night before round the barbie....
  4. C'mon guys... lets make this a debut meet to remember.. What else would people be doing at 5:00pm on a Sunday afternoon ? Watching Songs of Praise ? The pub does nice food and caters for kids so treat the missus....
  5. At that money you could break it and make a little profit of around £500 on it. Depends if you've got the money, time and enthusiasm to finish it and then flog it on. Cars with nasty bulkhead chops do not make anywhere near the money nice original cars make. But you wouldnt be robbed at that money.
  6. And theres room for the 215mm clutch with the window slots... blimey.. Good job you didnt leave your home work on the bus then mate.. Do you want a clutch plate for it then ?
  7. Have you got any pics Glyn ? Is it for a road clutch or a 7.25" Race Clutch ? If its for a race clutch then that wasnt such a bargain as the clutch will cost you a small testicle....
  8. Most greedy birds I know Mike wouldnt be throwing pizza they'd be guzzling it down with a pint of Diet coke....
  9. There were two commonly available. The Lynx one as mentioned above, was mainly sold in Australia and then there was a Peco one. E-bay is the place to find them. There is only one on there at the moment Item no: 180139811239 that comes with a single 45 and a load of bits but its £350 which is far too much money.
  10. Stick with the Anglia axle.. they are mighty strong little things. If you break it then upgrade it. Pointless spending a load of money on something that might happen.
  11. Thats interesting.. I had a set of pipes bent up from one of our patterns by a guy who does F1 work and he managed to loose a couple of joins but there was still a couple in there. If you look at how the 'copies' are made they are made using Dairy Bends to ensure perfect radius's without any wasting. Bend up a couple of tubes parajon and lets see, I could be looking for a new supplier in the near future perhaps we could do some business...
  12. Try some Autoglym paint renovator... Its not as harsh as something like T Cut. OR.. if you are feeling flush then the Meguiers stuff is superb, they do a 3 stage polish 'system' and they also have something similar to AutoGlyms Paint Renovator which helps take off the oxidisation. Dont go mad though it would be easy to go through the paint if its not on that thick or is painted in cellulose.
  13. Northampton Motorsport mate. 01604 766624 speak to Troy www.northamptonmotorsport.com
  14. Looks lovely Gary... But number one pipe looks like it will clout the water rail ? Do you have any pics of it on an engine ?
  15. Get rid of gas very quickly. Which when you've got a pair of 50's pumpin fuel in at 7500rpm you need to get rid of it darn quick too
  16. I think people are getting confused here between a Mass Manifold and a Mass Style Manifold and anything that looks like a big bunch of bananas these days is getting called a 'Mass Manifold'. But that style of big pipes with the number one sweeping right over the top was done by a few people including Specialised Exhausts... in fact we do one, which is on Webbys Anglia. But if you have the 4 separate primary's you need to pop over and see someone like Simpson and get them to make you a collector that the 4 pipes will slot into. They were like that ont he hotrods (Anglias, Escorts, Starlets etc) to stop them cracking at high revs, which was a problem Gordon Streeter had when he fitted one of ours to his race car, but now its all mounted up with support and its been re-welded its ok...
  17. To be honest guys the turn out was shite compare to last year, we had 30 cars this year compared to 49 last year... But at least Lily Allen brought her Anglia along..... which was nice of her
  18. Most of these people probably have no idea how the classic Ford market has gone over the last 18 months and what cars are worth now... If they had they wouldnt be tracking a 2 door MkI 'tina thats for sure....
  19. That smug look didnt last long.... The 2000E box is called the 2000E box because it was fitted to the 2000E Corsair NOT the MkIII 2000E Cortina
  20. We've got stock of brand new MkII Cortina Clutches and Release Bearings if you need one We've even got some NEW MkII Cortina Release Bearing Carriers.....
  21. This may seem a daft question... but why have you got a Ginnetta Cam cover in an Escort ?
  22. Errrrrrrrr NO... Its just RETRO FORD. Retro Ford International are nothing to do with Dave Colledge or Zetec conversions. Daves number is 01536 747978
  23. Try Dave at Retro Ford, I believe he was striking up a deal with the guy who was making them. 01536 747978 Cheers Neil
