WEBER CARBS REFURBISHED FOR FIELDY 1972

Fieldy1972 aka Mark dropped off his weber carbs from his ST170 MK2 Escort for me to sort out as he thought they did,nt perform as well as they could,

So on the bench i could see a completre strip down and overhaul was required , as you can see one of the trumpets is broken so into the washer first for a clean up,

ok all washed and dried lets strip them down,

all the jets and tubes reoved we can now have a good look ,

so checking whats in them we have ,145 mains ,F16 emulsions , and 155 air correctors , so we,re happy with this

next up is a service kit and get all the seals , filters , and float vale renewed

lets check the float levels now ,

now their built up lets get this manifold scrubbed up

now look at the 4 bottom mishabs here 2 are blown that would add to making them under perform

so at the top of the pic is 4 new ones,

now on the back of one of the cabs the rear plate is missing and the choke butterfly return spring is missing, that would account for the throttle not operating properly , so new spring , plate & gasket will sort that

now carbs all back together and mounted up on the manifold and dont they look pretty

are they the same carbs i hear you ask ? , well i can assure you they are

all blinged up and ready to go back on the car
