  3. i did it myself dont no about a thread, all i did was go down the local breakers found a mk 3 fiesta with the pushrod engine and the module that says e s c , stripped all the loom tape off and followed all the wires back to where they went bit of a ball ache ive put a picture up and i'll try and explain where the wires go starting at the right hand side wires 1 , 2 blue/green,blue/yellow both go to flywheel sensor multiplug, no 3 empty, no4 and 5 is 1 wire that doubles back on itself, no6 black goes to the coil multiplug this is the wire ive put my live ignition feed into, no7 brown to earth, no8 empty,no 9 ,10 both into the coil multiplug job done the empty sockets did have wires coming out think they was some kind of sensors that arnt needed on this set up. depending on which model you rob the wiring colours might not be the be the same but hope this helps
  4. yes mate running it on fiesta ignition seems to work well
  5. thanx mate yours looks spot on i'm in the process of doing an xpack mk2 rs looks like your running 15" rims on yours ?? does it affect the handling, steering at all ??
  6. its not a cheap conversion in an anglia buy the time id bought a milton world cup crossmember, all the stuff from retro ford, stuff to convert it to 5 speed that was 2 grand gone. im using retro ford sump which is just a modified cvh 1. ive got the ignition module and part of the loom off a mk3 fiesta the module says e s c on it again its a budget job and really simple to wire in just a live and earth when i spoke to dave at retro ford he told me he'd had 130 bhp out of 1 running similar set up to mine
  7. Very nice, you got more details on the carb setup ? Does it go ok with carb did you make the manifold or buy it ? Also what gearbox you running, the gearstick looks further away from the hand brake then my old one. Im going to look at another Anglia today unfinished project on my doorstop. alright savvi ive done you a bit of a fitting guide on the carb mate but its further down the page sorry still finding my way round the site. its got a type 9 5 speed box , av you picked yourself an anglia up today ?
  8. yes mate did it all myself ad it about 8 years and it just keeps evolving its starting to get a bit scabby up close it needs wings and doors really and a general tidy up
  9. you need a manifold off an xr three cvh got mine from gs escorts £30 lay a cvh gasket on a zetec gasket cut that shape out in 6mm steel, drill and tap where the manifold stud holes line up bolt it together, because the sides of a cvh head are at about 10 degrees the carb will sit at angle so the manifold carb face needs milling square, cut a bit of steel same shape as carb base drill it and tap it for carb mounting studs then just in board of them studs drill and countersink 4 holes drill and tap manifold bolt that lot together,i av opened the manifold ports up alot, i made my own gaskets out of fairly thick gasket paper, was expecting to have to put it on rollers but it runs and idles well pulls really well and it'll do 30-35 mpg on a run so i avnt bothered and its a type 9 5 speed in it
  10. yes mate it runs a 38 dgas on a modified xr cvh manifold its got an adapter plate at each end of the manifold. its the cheapest way of doing it soon as ive got some spare cash it'll get throttle bodies
