Hi All, Many thanks for the responses guys that's awesome. Engine work: Litereally completely re-conned by an engineering firm nearby. All bearings, big ends, piston rings the lot - did less than 5k miles 1300 gearbox fitted for shorter ratios Other bits: 1600 Escort sport rear axle with gas struts New Armstrong shocks fitted on front No expense was spared back in the day and has literally done about 5k since it was parked. I will whack up more pics of inside the engine bay and other bits when I get a chance to pop down to give a better idea. Have had a few PM's so will get back to you all. Hi All, Not a regular member so excuse me. My uncle has a mk2 '83 Mk2 Escort van he's owned since it was about 3yrs old. It's been sat for a few years now due to him moving abroad. Before he went he coated the underneath in oil so it's more solid than you might expect. Due to terminal illness he's had to return to UK but needs to raise some capital and the sadly Escort needs to go It had a fair bit of work done to it before it was parked up. Re-conditioned 1600 Capri GT Engine Twin webbers Suspension mods - Gas struts White pepperpots with polished lips Many of the body parts will need work or replacing but for anyone wanting a project, I gotta say I wish I had the funds to take it on. I'm not overly knowledgeable on oldskool Fords so if anyone is able to help me find out an idea of what it should be advertised for or if many people would be interested that would be massively appreciated Many thanks, Jay.
