  1. I went last year, was well worth doing , for those who are camping, on the saturday, retrorides have organised a trip to another hillclimb. the sunday show is good with a wide variety of cars and of course the hillclimb . Dont forget to have a beer in the bugatti owners club bar food is good to . i went up the hillclimb for fun and i can recomend it ,get early to cue thou and be carefull up the top of the hill on the last corner it can be pretty interesting: ). ill be on the S.O.S stand this year but will wonder over to check out Vistas van and all your other cars. here is me going up the hill first run got used to it after the 6th one : ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZ_uGKkGl7Q
  2. Nice photos, a good collection of images : >
  3. Good show report : ) powderham is bigger than i remember and your right we had a very varied stand . Top marks everyone. I didnt quite understand the galaxy owners club all a bit new for my liking. I am quite red bloody ninja sun hid behind the clouds again lol. : )
  4. I put some on a mk2 escort estate. The inner lip needs either cutting out or bashing up,flattening and then pull the arch out if you want to take people in the back or if there are lots of speed bumps around : )with skinny tires they fit ok but unless the car is lowered about 2 inches the front arch gap can look horrendously big.It did look quite nice from the front with the tires trying to escape the arch's.
  5. Hey guys. Greg is a top man for giving me his time and advice thank you sir, but unfortunately my van will be my only means of transport so will be doing over 3000 miles a year. So looks like im with Adrian flux all mods declared and fully comp.So it aint to bad really. Vista hello : ) I'm defiantly interested in Powderham if its still ok for me to tag along. I'm working Friday and Saturday but i am free on Sunday the 10th of July. My old matey von loxlee driving down on Sunday so i will probably drive down with him in a Capri and escort van convoy. If any money is needed let me know so i can forward it or give it to you on the day : ) Will your van be done ? Will be awesome to see that monster , nice choice of colour . I found my van on the bay in Newquay brought it off a very nice mechanic guy named Adam. Solid as it had been ziabarted but looked ruff due red oxide cover over surface rust so the weather wouldnt get to it. Mods wise its got a 1600 crossflow big valvehead , five speed, polybushed and a two inch drop as well as other mods. My dad has just finished sorting out the body work and sprayed it white again cause its easier to spray white in a spray booth that you make in your back garden lol i have photos that will be posted soon, it will be a working van so its not a minter but had metal were it should and is solid. I still have the white Estate but needed somthing with more power for karting all my gear around and 5 speed for motorway journeys etc but she has defiantly done me proud over the 4 years ive had her. ill put a post up in the rides bit when its all done, thanks for your help guys. : )
  6. Hello. I haven't been on here for a fair few years due to jobs lifestyle etc. so many of you wont remember me . Possiably some Devon folk might : ) . Ive just brought a mk2 escort van and wondered where the best place for insurance is as many insurance companies are scared of it because its a car derived van and when i mention modified they go all sheepish ,: (. Adrian flux have been good so far. just throught id see if there are any other options before i go with them . Thanks for your time and help Tom (Whitey)
