  1. Get yourself down to the nearest car recycling facility. (scrappy) and buy the biggest panel you can find for the cheapest price. Cut the roof off something for good tin patch panels.... Welding wire ,stay 0.6 or 0.8 mm on body panels. You don't need to go more on a hobby welder otherwise you need new liner and wire feed etc, for gas I would set up an account And get a half sized ( from full) argoshield 85/15 mix. Stu
  2. Hello all, Stuart here. I live oop north near Glasgow Airport. Just discovered this place after following a link from the Rods N Sods forum. Mainly into rods n sleds n kustoms for the last 18 odd years as my petrol head fix took me in another direction. Had blue oval fever ever since i passed my test in 87 in a mk2 fiesta. My first car was a 75 mk2 escort, since then had capris, fiestas, transits and the longest keeper was my A plate XR4i for about 8 years, which i rebuilt with Adjustable Koni's, close ratio box, recaro interior, etc. loved that car but people kept trying to nik it eventually i gave up and sold it for next to nothing... Since then still stuck in the ford world but I went older. Had a 1959 zodiac with 302cc 5.0l, a '65 mk 3 zodiac, '70 mk 4 zodiac I roof chopped. Bit the American tin bug in 2001 and been there since. Presently I have a 1940 ford coupe, 1958 chevy truck under rebuild and my reason for finding here is I have just aquired a 1963 Consul Capri. Its got 2.0l pinto running gear, atlas rear and generally based around ford parts. I will be doing some work to it as a rolling rebuild sorting out the weekender tasks... Looking forward to having a look round and learning new things. Have been out of zone for too long... cheers Stuart
