  1. Bump! I still have this sitting on the ramp as I haven't got round to putting the engine back in yet. This is a rot free car with very little needed to get back on the road. Offers considered
  2. TIme has come to sell my escort which i have had ownership of for the past 3 years. I believe it started out life as a 1300e and had a full restoration around 10 years ago to turn it into a mexico lookalike. 2.0L EFI pinto dyno'd at 100hp with a type 9 gearbox. Very solid car underneath. The body work is in good condition but has slight bubbling on the right rear arch. Interior is in good condition. The drivers seat has a small ware mark as shown on the photos but the rest is in good knick. Currently the engine and gearbox has been removed from the car. This was to replace gearbox to bellhousing bolts, change the engine mount rubbers and to give the engine and gearbox a good service. Pictures speak louder than words so here you go: Currently as is stands with the engine and gearbox out of the car i would be asking for £6500.   4. There is a turbo setup on ebay now for 500. No idea if it's any good or not and I don't think I'll risk it for that money. Buzzard - is that running standard internals and compression?

  6. I'm hoping to do all rounds of the OSFDC this year and after a quick dyno test late last year, I don't think a standard efi pinto will cut it. Does anyone do off the shelf turbo conversations or new manifolds? Cheers!
  7. Ive had my escort for a number of years now and im comtemplating a complete rebuild for it to become what i want it to be. The pinto is coming out over the winter for a rebuild so i thought, while im at it, i might aswell do the whole thing! Has anyone sucsessfully put wide arches onto a 4 door mk1 and retained the rear doors? i love the look of them but never seen it done before.
  8. ill be up for it, im going to be running on the Saturday and see if the clutch lasts out. Weather permitting ill be camping on the saturday night so that might save postage if thats alright with you?
  9. Cheers guys! I just need better than what iv got at the minute as i would like to do a couple of track days and im used to the brakes in my old clio williams (which has wilwood front calipers). I was looking at the wilwood conversion but I didn't know if there was a cheaper 4 pot option you can get from another model. I better get saving!
  10. Im currently looking for a brake upgrade for my mk1 but want to keep the rs alloys and dont fancy getting 15" wheels. What options are they out there? does anyone do an off the shelf rear disc conversion? Thanks in advance!

  13. XjamesX - i thought as much, i do look on ebay for price comparisons but some just dont make sence. dalmarshall - cheers for the info, its strange to think for the price of a 2 door can get you two 4 doors for the same price! i know which two i'd rather have on my drive.

I know this subject has been around the forums again and again with regards to the higher prices of escorts compared to other models of the same generation but prices dont seem to be stable in my eyes between the same models. People are asking crazy prices for a 2 door shell when the next advert i see is for a rust free 2 door 1.3 with T&T for only a little more. Is it me or is it a case of name your price? The reason im asking is that (im going to regret this) ill be selling my Pinto'd mk1 4door that i ran in one of the OSFDC rounds last year to pay for my racing but i have no idea what is worth!
