ive had an lsd fitted into my atlas axle and have been told that i cant use the old bolts to secure the crown wheel to it as they are too short. they only go in about 5 mm or 5-6 turns. the lsd is quite alot thicker then the the original planet gears. where can i get the proper bolts from, and what have other people done?
i couldnt find anything about black plates mentioned, what is the cut off year for them then, there fine on a mk1 escort arent they, want to get some done tomorrow?
looking at a mk2 rs2000 which will come with a full ticket. its fairly solid but will need work on the strut tops and doors, bonnet and roof. but im told it has been reshelled in its life into a non rs shell. ive been watching a few on ebay and the asking price has been 7k plus for very tidy examples but with none or little bids.
so what should this be worth????
thanks for the help and comments. ive put a turbo yb in my capri and although it is quick when the turbo is boosting, i just like the noise of a set of 48s or 50s. my spare needs the bottom end rebuilding and the head is pretty dead so thought it might be easier to get it built into an na or even have a go myself. ill have to have a good think about it. thanks
was it? it will be going in a mark1 escort and i thought if it was na it would save alot of cutting and the expense of the rear end to take the power of the turbo
ive got a turbo yb but i want to convert it to na, how easy is it to do for an amateur? is it just swapping parts over or is there any machining to do? is it worth doing or is it worth just selling the turbo and buying one already done?
