Agree 100% needs lowering, again not as simple as my cossie was, so many options Just working back over now, ie gearbox and if the std axle is up to the job. Hate skimping on anything but this is a budget build and dry run for my own car..

At the minute engine wise i think i am going to go for a zetec, probably a 1800cc 130bhp from a xr2i/xr3i and keep it running on std management to keep costs down??? as it really is supposed to be a budget build for my daughter to get involved in...

Its not to bad for its age, but im pretty much going to replace the front end. The floor and boot dont look to bad on first inspections but i will reserve judgment until its stripped. And as for plans? still not sure yet although i got some wheels for it the same day as buying it. The rest is just baffling me, so trying to get my head around what would be the best spec for a 150bhp ish road/track car.

Just a quick hi from me, and introduction. Always been into cars mainly cosworths but sadly sold my last one just over a year ago due to health issues. Then browsing eBay last week i came across a fairly tidy looking mk2 1.3 4 door, and without really reasearching to much left a deposit and collected it last sunday from the deepest darkest part of wales i could find lol. The initial idea is a quick tidy up that i can do with my little girl, now though im just so confused as to what direction to take, as i had no idea of the options out there lol.. Thanks Jonathon...
