  1. Hi Simon, Sorry to be a pain, but did you manage to dug out that article?
  2. Gents, I would like to know if you have ever run an article on converting Mk1 Cortina steering box to steering rack, be it a home built conversion or a bought conversion. Really interested to find out and see if I can get a back issue. Thanks.
  3. I think you're right mate. Will leave them for now and keep them standard. Cheers.
  4. I have a set of 5.5" Lotus Steels for my Mk1 Cortina. Before I spray them, I am thinking about getting them banded. Question is should I? If yes, anyone know anybody good who they would recommend? Cheers, Darren
  5. Good issue and I like the freshen up - looks good.
  6. Thanks bud. Will do.
  7. I agree with Vista. Where are the Mk1s??
  8. Thanks for the quick reply, but that site doesn't look like the proper site that I was on last week!! I wanna check prices on an inlet and exhaust manifold for a pre-x/flow.
  9. Anyone know what the Donald Duck's happened to the Throbnozzle Racing website??
  10. This man is a legend. I want a Connaught Warrior motor!!
  11. Looking forward to Route 38 in March!!
  12. My old Cortina (nicknamed the Grinder) was first built when I was 19 (now 37). After many years of neglect, use as a daily driver in the salt and terrible English weather and a serious lack of motivation to do anything with it, I have finally got the bug again (thanks to this site and CF and RF mags) and been busy getting it ready for MOT. This car and the Mex in the background were a fag paper away from being sold following the death of my old man. It's currently running a standardish crossflow, a revvier pre x-flow with a bit of a difference is under construction. The car will also be running on a set of refurbished lotus steels in the not too distant future. Thanks for all the motivation and enthusiasm of people on this site, the car will be grinding on the streets again shortly. Cheers.
  13. I had a white mk2 with black centres. Looked superb. Go for black!!
  14. sounds nice. Currently trying to get my Mk1 back on the road after years of neglect, Car is metallic magenta but will be going black cherry, running on lotus steels with a hybrid pre-crossflow (711m bottom endm, bda pistons and pre x-flow cylinder head). It should be roadworthy in the next couple of weeks. Let us know how you get on at the weekend.
  15. Have you tried Mk1 Cortina OC - I don't think they list an inner arch but they list several different chassis repair sections. Their website is pretty good for listing and showing what panels they supply.
