  1. Hmmm, last time we tried a Peterborough meet it didn't go too well, but yeh i'm up for it depends when it is as to what I go in, got a gearbox to swap an a MOT to sort. so 1)Louie Bagel 2)Old Skool Freestyler 3)16super
  2. Registered as Ford Capri 5400 still blue though
  3. Sorry to hijack, what carbs would that need?(I assume they're not inc in that price) And that figure at the flywheel yes?
  4. I read last night that apparently they're good for 7200 but obviously not constantly
  5. Must be an American thing!!!! On the radio this evening that Janice on I'm a celebrity didn't know what 20% of 60 was??? Unf@*ckinbelievable
  6. I did say if
  7. If you fit it from the inside make sure you trim any excess metal on outside & then seam weld that as well otherwise you will get a water trap all the way round it & your new tunnel will rot & fall out, personally I would fit from the outside & seam weld then run sealer all round, inside doesn't have to be so neat if you're gonna fit a carpet & definitly no chance of a water trap.
  8. How the hell people have the patience to do that is beyond me!!
  9. I think you're missing the point, the girl in her fathers arms didn't do it to herself! The baby screaming it's lungs out didn't do it to herself, I think the young lady means that the f@#kin useless government would rather hand money out left, right & f@#kin centre to immigrants than help out our own children that are put into situations out of their control, just for some officious twat to say its hard to find help???? Hard to find f@#kin help too right its hard to find help especially when an immigrant can get extra money/help if they can't speak English?? So no it's nothing to do about anybody doing to themselves cos children CANNOT be held responsible for their parents actions!!! It's just a pity that we cannot do a f@#kin thing about it.
  10. ^^^^^^^ No need to laquer if solid colour unless as xpackken says you do it in solid clear over base, but if you really want to just make sure paint is dry (make sure it is)then scotch it off & apply clearcoat as long as you key it up properly you shouldn't have any issues with flaking. But you shouldn't need to depends what colour you're painting it if you're goin to paint it in red, white, black or a pastel colour they're usually a soft pigment & will go milky & die, you're better off painting them in cob then that will protect the colour from fading. Being a painter, if funds permit I would always go for cob.

On the socket front I would suggest impact sockets rather than cheap chrome ones, they're a bit thicker but take way more abuse
  12. Ok cheers guys The 2 cortinas look a bit more interesting now
  13. This may seem a stupid question, but to what end? Why bother, so I can reasonably assume that the cheaper olympic blue RS is also a scam?
  14. ???
  15. Yeh thought about all that but both of them are a bit of a drive so just wondered if any one knew of them an give a bit of a heads up before driving 2-3 hours and they end up bein buckets of poo
  16. There is a very cheap MK1 Mex in Retro ford classifieds & a very cheap MK1 RS in CF classifieds??? Any one know who's they are & why so cheap in the market for something like that but a little dubious cos of the prices £2995 & £2700 respectively don't get me wrong not complaining bout price but almost everything on here like that is almost double?? Just seem's a bit cheap.
  17. Apparently it will fit any x-flow or ohc a bit universal hence starter locations either side £180 brand new
  18. This was a few years ago but Adrian flux insured my MK1 escort with a V6 in for less than £350 when i was 19 (i did say a few years ago) but they only wanted £129 for my Cortina an that was a new policy with no no claims, they're pretty good for modded motors.
  19. Have a look on www.burtonpower.com they give some figures on there but no costs only for parts
  20. Absolutely that was my point about the cup looking like it could do with being replaced, but nothing worse than sitting in a ditch with your shock absorber poking through the bonnet wishing you'd done it properly!!!
  21. This is just a thought but if you're gonna put a Cosworth in it would it not be an idea to reinforce the top mounts like an RS2000 if spot welded in place no dressing to be done you've got top mounts that look the part & your struts won't pop through when you drive over the first rough road you come across. That said it does look like the cup underneath could do with replacing though (time & money allowing).
