Monkspeed? What's that all about, flipflop?
-
CF's been featuring Fiestas for years now. Marc Stretton put a XR2 on the front cover some four years ago in fact, and there was even a Fiesta special about two years.
-
Obviously you're right. Just thought I'd point things out - nice to start 2009 on the correct foot

I don;t think there was ever a time when CF had nothing to do with OSF. I remember a group feature on OSF members soon after the forum was established - you were at that one, Ben. And we also featured your van not long before Unity launched RF. And there were car featured inbetween. I think our policy at CF was to feature a range of cars from all areas of the scene, modified and standard, based on the cars themselves. Where they were from or what forum the owners visited wasn't an issue to be honest. Steve

Funny as F**K

I thought Unity Media started it? And to be fair, he did do a fair bit of whinging....

No i bought it because I am an enthusiast. As much as I would like to continue this debate the threat of legal action means I am unable to carry on. If you say so. Personally I would have thought buying 60 plus issues of a magazine you wanted to 'wipe your arse with' was a bit strange, no matter how enthusiastic you were! Especially when for some of that time you had an alternative publication you obvious have great affection for. But the main thing is you bought it, and contributed to my wages – cheers! Legal action? I understood that was for your libellous comments from the other thread you intelligently linked on here yesterday regarding another journalist/editor? You do have a way with people... Bye bye

Come on Dalek, there's no need to bring dads into it. And I didn't expect you to actually go and find that thread, but, er, good work. So you did buy Classic Ford through the times that two editors you thought did a bad job were on the mag? And you bought it just so you could comment on it? And that would be in the way that you comment on it on these forum threads is it? So, and please correct me if I'm getting this wrong (I don't doubt you will for a second) you bought Classic Ford for many years (I think Stretton and I were in charge for a total of 5 years between us, that's some 60 odd issues) just so you could bitch about it? And of course, in your own words, wipe you arse with it – charming as ever. Amazing! And you still maintain I'm the one who has a problem... By the way. I'm sure the guys on Retro Ford don't want this nonsense on their bit of OSF. So if you'd like to take this outside to 'old skool ford chat' or 'go and stand in the corner' I'd be more than happy to keep helping you make yourself look like a tit elsewhere.

Same here mate, can't find Retro Cars or Retro Ford anywhere... I'm being deprived I've my monthly flick through! Why do you keep stirring it up and going over the same ground again and again and again... ? Something to do with "Once was editor of CF magazine" ? Nope, I just can't find Retro Ford or Retro Cars anywhere. My newsagents down the road haven't got it this month and neither has anywhere else around by me – I did try telling them that I "Once was editor of CF magazine", but that didn't seem to make a difference. Sorry Dalek, didn't realise your sensibilities would be upset by my former comment. I hope you can forgive me, I'll try harder not to let my comments offend you in the future. Apologies accepted, nobody is perfect even if they have edited Classic Ford mag, badly. Try subscribing, it's well worth all the hassle getting the mag and perhaps you might see how a proper magazine is put together. You're so gracious Dalek, if a little bitter. Might be worth investing in some therapy, help you get over your little problem - what ever it is. Actually you seemed to have quite a problem with the editor I took over from too. I remember you venting that publicly on forums from your keyboard as well. Jealousy, misunderstanding of the product, repressed homosexual feelings? Help me out... I don't tend to subscribe to magazines. I like to go to the shop and buy to be honest, plus you get to have a look before parting with your cash. Just interested. Did you buy Classic Ford when I edited it?

Mmmmm, quite a few Escorts this month.... Should start calling it 'Retro Escort'! That's a joke!!!!!
-
Gold star worthy work
-
Needs the gravitas of the editor talking to his readers though, don't you think?
-
If you want. Shouldn't you be putting up a pic of the cover with a description of the content and signed off by a smiley icon to let your hoards of readers know what to expect? It's called marketing young man.

Only seen a few, it's not stocked many places. Was a great mag back in the day, let down by an Alfa overload by the end of Future's reign and my opinion of it now is best described as 'Huuuummmm'. To be honest it's gone very Unity, if you know what I mean. I'm sure you do.
-
Yeah, those cock ups do happen. Life's good mate. Miss the mag, but what you gonna do... Did I hear right that you wanted the big job over at Retro Cars?
-
When all is said and done, I'm ultimately just an enthusiast standing in front of a load of other enthusiasts trying to make a difference How you doing Mr Morley, having a bit of a Braveheart battlefield moment there. I just wanted to say I like your cover. Dynamic and inspiring, and the headline's strong too. A winner I reckon. Better than the previous month's which I thought was spoiled by the use of the word 'renounced' to describe the RS1800. But that one was still pretty good too. Keep up the fantastic work. Freeeeedom!!!!

I think you might have read my posts wrong there, Pollitt. It's quite a different cover, very brave, which is why I asked if it actually was the cover. And the shaved head dude looks like Birch... what more can I say. You want to calm down a bit, you'll give yourself a heart attack. I'll take your comments about editing on board though mate. You obviously know what you're on about.

No Mate that's Martin Bird Shame
-
Is that erstwhile RF editor Birch leaning over the bonnet?
-
Right, Very nice.
-
Is that the actual cover?
-
Yeah, got loads of good stuff in there. Hopefully it should only get better too. So keep an eye on it!

Could be mate! We'll just have to see how it does!
