  1. I thank you all for your input and I am convinced that a restoration is the way to go. Having researched the availability of parts , panels etc, I can see it would be a viable proposition . I really would like it to go to an enthusiast who would restore the car as it should be. What would be the best option for selling it? Would offering it on this forum be considered to be acceptable seeing as I have only just joined? Thanks Snooper
  2. First let me say hello to forum members. I have been keeping various classic cars , bikes on the road for 40 years and have come across a restoration project that I may not be able to complete due to ill health . The car in question is a genuine AVO Ford Escort mk1 RS2000 1974. I have looked it over and come to the conclusion I may not be able to physically manage a full restoration. It has been standing for 20 years and has suffered tin worm in all the usual mk1 places but is still a viable project for a competent enthusiast. Thing is I need to know if there would be a market for it as a full restoration project or should I break it which seems rather a shame as there are not many original mk1 RS around these days. Any views on what I should do will be carefully considered. Thanks Snooper.
