Does anybody know how much it costs to ship an escort back from south africa and what is involved thanks?

well saturday was the day i decided to go down the town and took my old gold rings and a chain came back very happy with a grand in the pocket so now the escort project can get the green light

ok come back from chelsea bridge last night left the car in garage got the car out in the morning check under the bonnet and its coverd in oil looked like it was coming from the breather box thingy on side of engine so cleaned everything up changed a couple of pipes went for another spin gave it some beans checked under bonnet again oil every where so i think it is coming out of dipstick any ideas cheers engine is crossflow

i got in touch with ford archive to find the build date of my mk1 escort a few years back you could try that i also thouht that the cut off date was 30th jan 1973 good luck

how easy is it to chage an auto to manual and what is needed cheers

i see there was quite a few people taking pics any chance of some being posted had great drive down to the bridge but going home nightmare blew top hose of rad sitting in traffic done the ususal road side autos fix then head of home all good

had a look at some photos today because i cannot post them up it has got gears iinside so its not plate type

took diff out of my car today thinking it was fk but to my suprise found it has got a lsd in it one of the bolts had come lose and was hitting casing so had all cleaned up tightened bolts up but how do i know what sort is it as i have never had one before ie make /type

cheers steve for that now time to take out old 1 and replace well took the old diff out today and a nice surprise to find it has got l s d fitted the clunking niose was where some of the bolts had come loose on the plate that is bolted to the crown gear all cleaned up bolts locked in put back together then let mexicomick have a test run wot a laugh that was job well done cheers mate
